Happy New Year from Trademark Properties!

The following was sent by Trademark Properties on January 2, 2007.

Hello Everyone!

I hope that you all had a great holiday season and new year! Ours was wonderful and we’re getting very excited about the things 2007 has in store for us!

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, our premiere has been pushed back to early March. Sorry you have to wait, but I promise its worth waiting for!

In the meantime, one of our dearest friends and clients–who is going to be on an episode this season, has a new show airing on ABC Wednesday night! It is called “The Knights of Prosperity”. Donal Logue is the main character–so please tell everyone you know to watch and you’ll see him again on our show in a few months!

Thanks again for the continued support–March cannot come quick enough for us! :).

Thanks!

Ginger

I do not watch the other show. 2x was enought for me. They are disrespectful and rude to their staff and their wives.

Keep up the good work. Happy New Year!

    Di

  6. clarence in nc says:

Thank God for the new season. My wife records the Charleston crews shows. She is really not into the show per say, but can’t stand the way “those people” treat the hired help.

  18. Donald says:

Just heard from an( ….) that the new show will be called “The Real Deal” which as we know will air on TLC.

  19. JSD says:

Same “real” show? How about you fess up to the dumpster issue with Richard’s brother’s car? Those of us with Tivo know it was a junk car you parked there (it didn’t even have plates and Richard’s brother was driving a Ford, yet, it hit a Buick parked at the end of the driveway. If you slow it down you can even see the tow truck parked down the street… the same truck that delivered the car that accidentally got hit by the dumpster. Just tell the truth.

  20. Brian says:

I am very excited to see the show again. The old show is not up to the standards Trademark put out. If you read all the comments on the various topics you will see that Trademark was a very popular show. Keep up the good work and good luck on the new show, I will be watching.

  21. rob says:

    Richard and Ginger!
Hope you have a wonderful 2007!

Remember, life like the garage door business, has it’s up’s and downs!
The player to be named later,

    Bob from Minneapolis

  22. Melanee says:

I can’t wait to see you guys again! I hate the SA people and I live here!

  23. maria says:

My husband and I used to watch FTH. We no longer watch because the Texas show is terrible. Seems like they focus more on the life of the montelongos rather than the rebuilding/remodeling projects. anyways, just wanted to share some info: we saw one of their shows in which they bought a house, sight unseen. i believe this was the house in which they added a cedar fence all along the main street side. at the end of the episode, a family “bought” the house and the Texas team made a huge profit. just yesterday, my husband passed by this house. a “for rent” sign was posted on the front. so he calls the number. lo and behold, the montelongo home buyers company answers. they mention that the house has been for rent since last year and they’re willing to rent for a year. my husband then does a property tax check and guess who owns it? the montelongos! so this house never actually sold as they purportedly stated on their show. what a total fake!

  24. Rodney says:

I’m looking forward to the new show. I agree with everyone else, the San Antonio and Atlanta flippers are not remotely close to you guys so I don’t watch them. Ginger, if you are single, I’m available. 🙂

  25. lsdblotterart says:

So good to see that Trademark Properties will be back showing how house flipping is done correctly and with integrity.

I could only manage to watch an episode each of the two new crews and it was too disturbing. As a contractor I could not get over how cheap and disrespectful the new crews are. It is almost criminal to see how poorly and cheaply they would do things.

My goodness, I saw shows where your landscape budget was larger than their entire remodel budget.

You are a hardworking, class act.

  26. clarence in nc says:

Has anyone noticed that they’ve removed the Flip This House 2nd Season ? hmm
Do you think A&E got the message ?
    Looking forward to March.
You know they do call it March Madness ?

  27. Teresa Biggs says:

Good to hear you soon will be with us. come on back. I love to see the show; Onward.

  30. sandy bagwell says:

    Hi,
cant wait to see new flips! I have a house in Maietta Ga I would love to see you guys buy it and flip it.
It belonged to my husbands parents.

  31. Melissa says:

My husband and I miss your show. Glad you guys are coming back. We can’t wait. The new shows that replaced you are terrible.
    Looking forward to March

  32. Ginger says:

My daughter and I can’t wait to see your new show! We miss you all so much!!

  33. Jeff Jackie says:

I am a new fan. I watched for the first time (a rerun) last Saturday night 2/3/07. I LOVED IT!

However, the show that followed had on these arrogant lowlifes from San Antonio.

Definitely not the Southern charm/good ol’ boys from Trademark.

I decided to do some research and found out your crew is no longer part of A&E’s Flip. I was kind of Bummed out!

But then I found this blog.

    Looking forward to Trademark returning.

  34. David G. says:

I want to echo my sincere appreciation for the honesty and respect everyone at Trademark Properties exhibited on the show; to each other, your sub-contractors, and the sellers of the properties you purchased. As someone with aspirations of becomeing a real estate investor, I want to thank you for showing that it is just as much about the personal relatioships you develop with others as it is about the real estate deal itself. Thanks again and I look forward experiencing your continued success.

  35. Jamie Fox says:

Does anyone know what the show’s name will be called and what channel?

  36. clarence in nc says:

It will be on TLC and I think it will be called “the real deal”

  37. Laura says:

Ginger: I can’t wait to see your new show and miss you guys so much! I’m from Atlanta and was absolutely mortified by the Leccima crew they put on this season. What an embarrassment to this city and your profession! Looking forward to March!

  38. Mike says:

  39. Valerie says:

  40. Samm says:

Thanks for the great shows Richard & Ginger.

  41. Jennifer says:

I am really excited about your show returning. I hope the lawsuit goes well and you get what is rightfully yours.

  42. Flippy Flipperton says:

I sure hope you guys don’t loose your momentum.

  43. Bob says:

Congrats on the new show. I love you guys. I can’t wait for the new show. It sux that you can’t talk about how you were treated by A&E. Good luck with the new show and your lawsuit.

    FEBRUARY 05, 2007 –

After undergoing an intensive renovation in 2006, TLC is ready to begin building on its newly repaired foundation, prepping a series of fresh, unscripted projects that focus more on Dough-Re-Mi than DIY.

This April, TLC will launch a pair of series that approach the economics of real estate from antipodal perspectives. My First Home, a half-hour program that shadows prospective buyers as they weather the ups and downs of closing on a property, debuts April 21, anchoring the network’s Saturday night block. Also bowing in April is The Real Deal, a renovation/resale strip from Richard Davis, the subject of season one of A&E’s Flip That House.

Century 21 and Ethan Allen have signed on as sponsors of My First Home, and the series is expected to feature a strong product integration element throughout its 12-episode run.

Both series are designed to appeal to TLC’s increasingly younger skewing audience, a group the network defines as being between 29 and 42 years of age. Last spring, TLC executive vp and general manager David Abraham began work on a programming slate focused on matters of health, finance and personal growth, drafting a blueprint that helped shave TLC’s median age down two years to 40.6.

Advertising dollars followed in short order. Joe Abruzzese, president of advertising sales, Discovery Networks US, said that Abraham’s gambit bore fruit almost immediately, as 2006 upfront revenue increased 14 percent over ’05. “The demo that David carved out last year was really the right direction for us,” Abruzzese said. “Any time you do double-digit growth for a mature network, you’re doing well.”

TLC will have to forge ahead without Abraham, who is leaving after a two-year stint to return to England as CEO of the cable network group UKTV. Discovery declined comment, and it is unclear who will replace Abraham.

While TLC may never attain the dizzying heights of its Trading Spaces heyday, ratings have rebounded. According to Nielsen Media Research data, in 2006, TLC grew in prime time by 12 percent, to 812,000 total viewers, while upping adults 18-49 by 12 percent.

Laura Caraccioli-Davis, senior vp/director of Starcom Entertainment, said that genre experiments like My First Home needn’t necessarily attract a huge audience in order to win over a devout client base. “Money follows ideas, as long as you’re delivering the right ideas,” she said. “If you narrow in on these genre blocks—lifestyle, financial, family—you can build a good fit for their related categories.”

Real estate mastermind Richard Davis and his team at Trademark Properties give two baseball greats – one a tarnished legend, the other an exiled pro – a second chance. Shoeless Joe’s former home is purchased, moved and transformed into a museum.

  52. Jeff Davis says:

Trademark Properties hit it out of the park as expected … long time viewer of Richard Davis and the team. TLC is assured of a grand slam. Great first show!!! A&E what were you thinking…
you struck out by pitchin’ inside to a straight shooter like Richard Davis – Jeff Davis/Dallas Tx.

  53. Eddie says:

Ginger – Can’t wait till new season gets started. Tell Richard to back off of you a little this year and you take charge.
Love your show. KEEP IT GOING!
    Eddie – Fort Lauderdale

  54. tanya says:

I’m glad to here about the new show. I’ve missed the whole team. One of my favorite episodes was when Richards brother came out & his car got smashed by the dumpster. So many other laughs too. Glad you’re back!

  55. Sheila says:

Looking forward to the return of a class act regardless of the network. Although I don’t fit the demographic TLC is looking for, (I’m 50) I’ll be tuned in for every show.
Thank goodness I saw the offensive commercial for the current FTH today, so that I could learn what the latest information is on Trademark. I’m ecstatic! The Shoeless Joe special was heartwarming!

Richard Davis and Trademark, Bravo and kudos on your move to TLC. Hopefully, they’ll treat you and your crew with the respect you guys deserve. There’s always a lot to learn from all of you and a few good laughs along the way. One question? Are we going to see Kevin and Dawn, kind of miss those guys too!!

  62. Michael says:

Just finished watching the show and found this site. I have been a fan since the very first episode and I loved how the BRIGHT yellow house in Charleston turned out (congrats Ginger). The Carb House seemed to be a huge success and it looked great. The house near downtown G’ville. . . in a week WOW. You all do amazing work and I absolutely love watching the show. Congrat to the entire team on the new season and good luck Richard with the courtcase (sorry to hear all the drama). Finally CONGRATS on the new season, show, and network. It is great to see you all on the air once again.

I want the folks at Trademark to know how much my husband and I enjoy your program. We began watching when it was “Flip This House” and were disappointed when you were no longer on the program. But we are glad to have you back and want to say we are happy you are back!!!

  66. Tom says:

If you go to the Trademark web site, you’ll see that Kevin Maloney’s name is no where listed as associated with the company. He apparently doesn’t work with Richard anymore. It looks like they had a falling out.

  67. Kristi says:

My husband and I love the Real Deal and the Flip This House Trademark Team. We just found the Real Deal on TCL Saturday night while flipping channels. We are so glad to see the Trademark Team back! We do not like the Texas and Atlanta Flip This House so we are very glad to find you all back with the Real Deal. We will make sure our TiVo is set for the Real Show! Good luck on the lawsuit!!

Hi Richard, Ginger,Dawn,John and the rest of you at Trademark. I’m an investor in the washington, DC metro area. I’ve loved your show since the beginning, it show’s the nuts and bolts of whats really involved in rehabbing properties. Keep up the quality programming and good luck with the real deal show. I hope to stop by and meet u guys one day when i make one of my trips up and down 95 going to Florida.

  72. Anthony & Julie says:

We love your show! Just wondering if you can please tell us if Kevin is still working with you or did the beach house destroy him and Richard’s relationship? We thought the vaulted ceilings were nice and Kevin put his blood (literally), sweat and tears into that house. We enjoyed him as well!!

Richard, we see a great generous side of you – but when we see you speak to your employees in a way that makes them feel like a dog – it doesn’t look good on you )it doesn’t look professional) – it would make me lose respect for you – and we don’t want to see that happen.

Also, Ginger, we love Jack – how’s he doing?

What made Richard change from Chevrolet to a Toyota?

  73. KP says:

TRADEMARK I love you guys. You all have given me the motivation I need to go out and search for properties to rebuild. I absolutely love the new show and I definitely enjoyed the show where you all took on the entire complex.

    Keep up the good work.

  74. JC says:

TRADEMARK PROPERTIES is a great company that greatly cares about their customers and just personal relationships with customers. I HATE AND REFUSE TO WATCH THE NEW FLIP THAT HOUSE EPISODES. THE TEXAS AND ATLANTA CREWS ARE TERRIBLE AND DON’T CARE ABOUT ANYBODY BUT THEIR ARROGRANT SELFISH SELFS, ESPECIALY THE TEXAS CREW. THE TEXAS CREW WOULD STEAL FROM THEIR OWN MOTHER’S GRAVE IF IT BENEFITED THEM. As a marketing student at the University of South Carolina, I truly hope I can open my own real estate brokerage/investment firm and be at least a half of success as Team Trademark. Keep up the awesome work.

  75. don from oklahoma says:

Team TRADEMARK rocks I have watched yall from the begenning and love every episode keep up the good work. As for the other shows …Well lets just say you can allways learn something new from anyone if you look close enough…..

  76. tc says:

what happened to kevin maloney ?

  77. Debi from Texas says:

I absolutely LOVE your show! I have learned so much about flipping houses. Also, I think Richard is so cute. I have the biggest crush on him! Is he single?

  78. Ray Donahue says:

Just got cable this week. Caught your show. Fantastic. I really enjoy seeing what you can accomplish. keep up the good work

  79. Jan says:
