Trademark Properties Holiday Update from Richard and Ginger

The following are holiday updates from Richard and Ginger, sent out on December 12, 2006.

I hope everyone is having the best holiday season of their lives 🙂 Team trademark had our annual friends, family and client holiday extravaganza this past Saturday with over 3000 attending and a great time was had by all! Jump castles, 4 story slides, face painting, Santa and Ms Claus were there for pictures with the kids, oyster roast, crab legs, Bar-B-Que and 2 live bands. It is our way to give back to our community and always feels like a reunion whether you’re family or not 🙂

We have yet to announce the new series name but we are hard at work doing what we always do, just happen to have new cameras following us. Same REAL People, same REAL business, new REAL DEALS, new network and new name. Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement, as soon as the network releases the new name and time of the show, you will be the first to know!

I have to take this time to thank everyone who has taken the time to email your support, it is unbelievable how passionate you guys are about our little ole show about Trademark’s daily adventures, it is still truly humbling. That being said, I have to be careful what I say, the big bad wolf has threatened to blow my house down if I talk about them in a public forum. Seems they just want me to go away, not tell the truth about their inner business dealings.

Obviously it was sweeps week because they did a marathon Saturday with most of the shows being our first season…wait a minute, I thought you told me I was replaceable with better people? 🙂 then why not take me off your network and let the scab replacements try to get you ratings? 🙂

They have threatened to crush me if I tell the truth in public about what really happened to us. You know me, I’m not backing down and will have my day in court, if not for me, for all the little people of the world who get stepped on, silenced and never have their story told. I don’t understand how someone can steal something that was never theirs and tell me to go away and be quiet, not happening in this lifetime. However, my lawyers are asking me to let them handle it from here on. We have the best entertainment attorney on the planet in MARTY SINGER of Beverly Hills (represents Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Wesley Snipes among other Hollywood elite…and he took on little ole Trademark as a client, hhmm, we must have something there :)) along with his partner Brian Wolfe and our local attorneys Robert Dodds and Frank Cisa, so for now, I must let them slay the beast while I do my REAL job and let the cameras roll for your education and entertainment 🙂

Thanks again and see you soon!
Richard

Hey Everyone!

I just want to start by saying thank you for your continued support. We are so excited about the new series and cannot wait for it to air. We have a lot going on around here to prepare for it, almost all of our episodes are finished! 🙂 We still don’t have a name yet, but y’all will be the first to know when we do! Hang in there, just a few more weeks of reruns and then we’ll be back on in full force!

Just a reminder that if you have any comments the best place to voice them is www.imdb.com: under “flip this house”-that gets us the most eyeballs in the industry! If you liked Season One with Trademark please give it a 10, this score has zero to do with season 2 and the scripted cast replacements 🙂

Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic holiday season and we can’t wait to see you all again in January. Details coming soon!

Its great to get an update. I know that I along with numerous friends are waiting for the new show. I also appreciate this web site and the work that went into creating it.

  2. Joetta says:

Finally, our S.C. friends will be back. Keep up the good work Richard Davis.

    See you soon!

  3. Bill says:

Needless to say the “replacements” on that certain channel leave a rather sour taste in one’s mouth. Your fans in Canada are looking forward to the return of all you. Good Luck with all that is happening.

  4. Samantha says:

I can’t wait until the show is back on. I hate the new cast.

  5. Dixie Shreiner says:

Merry Christmas to all of you. I miss you
very much. Those wanta be’s, are just that. You all just seem to fit together.
Best show ever for me. Hurry back soon.
    Can’t wait

  6. Ron Baumhover says:

Merry Christmas to all you great Trademark folks! Looking forward to your new show – after that first episode never looked at another one with your replacements.
Besides being a good show with good folks, you all standing up to those bullies just makes a lot of us like you even more.
    All the best

  7. Barbara says:

I was very dissapointed when I started tuning in to “Flip This House” and watching a couple of other classless teams pretending to renovate houses. I wansn’t aware until today that there had been any “legal proceedings” and that was why I wasn’t seeing your group. As a Realtor and investor I would tell you that your production had merit. I am increasingly put off with the newer genre of home improvement shows. They are just bad comedy routines. Most of us watch these programs to try to learn something from experts. I hope to see you back on another network and then I will be “tuning in” to that one. You all have class, style and good manners.

  8. Tera says:

It just goes to show, who has the most money – wins. Doesn’t matter if it’s your ideas, your tv show, or your house (Kelo) – if someone with more money and power wants it, they’ll just go ahead and take it from you.

I hope everything works out for the best for the Trademark crew. My husband and I enjoyed the first season of ‘Flip This House’ and for more than just the entertainment value. It’s also given us a better understanding of which improvements in our home and property will result in the highest return on our investment.

The new cast from Texas are trashy, tacky and embody the worst traits a real estate developer can possess. Snake oil salesmen would come across as less slimy than these people.

Anyways, best of luck and Merry Christmas to Trademark and their families. We look forward to seeing you all on your new show and network.

  9. Wesley says:

Richard C. Davis and the Crew ROCK IT! I am so excited to finally have something to look forward to watching again on Cable. I got my parents hooked on the first season. I was just at their home recently for the Holiday’s and they couldn’t believe the lies the dudes from season 2 had been telling to house buyers. My parents thought it was ridiculous how A&E could be so irresponsible to allow such illegal activity to be broadcasted and encouraged. It’s sad. I myself, canceled my cable after A&E canceled Richard. Now that they return to TV. I return to cable. Let this be a lesson to large cable companies, boycotts do exist and are effective. TLC ROCKS!

  10. Keith says:

I loved the first season of FTH, and I also like the Atlanta Team. I think that there are some differences in each show that make them uniqiue. Trademark focused more on high end real estate while Atlanta all most exclusivly did middle income properties. If FTH was Richards idea he should get complete credit for that. But we have to admit this show idea is not that new of a concept there are shows like Design To Sell, and a BBC show which has been on for quite some time. The first time I saw it was during a semester abroad for at Uni. of East London.

  11. TQ says:

I am so happy to hear Trademark Properties will be back on the air. Richard is a fine role model for all real estate investors. His honesty and generosity are an inspiration and I find myself using much of his approach as my real estate business continues to grow. I can’t wait to share your adventures in real estate on TLC!

  12. m says:

I happen to love to “scabs”!

  13. Jeff says:

Happy Holidays Trademark, here is hoping that 2007 is brighter and full of more continued success.

I look forward to your return to television.. your show makes me want to try my hand at realestate, and flipping someday. You are an inspiration to me and many others.

Happy Holidays Mark Lyon, thanks again for this resource.

  14. Candi says:

My husband and I loved your show! We are so glad you guys will be back. We went to the Music City Bowl to watch your Tigers get spanked by our Wildcats! We were very impressed with the Clemson fans… very polite and well behaved bunch.

  15. pat dixon says:

Flip this house with Richard and the gang was my favorite program and I watched it every week. The difference with the new people is like night and day. I cant wait to have the old gang back

  16. Tony says:

I am glad I did a search to find out the latest on the new show. It is amazing a show they did not think enough of to keep the hosts would keep running them on their network. At least we can still enjoy old shows until the new show comes back. Look forward to seeing you back on the air soon.

  17. […] I’ve been slacking a little bit when it comes to keeping up with what has been going on with Richard Davis and his new show on TLC.  I knew the new show was supposed to start sometime in early 2007 so I have just been waiting patiently, and quite honestly I just haven’t found any updates.  BUT, I did start snooping around the web a little bit, and the very on top of things website flipthislawsuit.com has a couple of posts from Richard and Ginger that discuss when the new show is going to be (MARCH!!!) and some other things.  I can’t wait for the new episodes.  Check out the letters from Ginger and Richard, and the New Years Update post. […]

  18. John says:

Lots of hell holes in Troy Ny.Richard and the gang would become billionares; and Troy would ressurect from the dead!!!!!!! I was born in Troy and speak from experiance; Need a tour Richard????

  19. Gary says:

    Howdy Everyone,

I had the most pleasant surprise earlier in the week. I was at a company get together in the beautiful city of Charleston, down the road a ways from Fort Mill, SC where I call home. I was making my way back from Market St. Saloon after having had a few drinks with cients, and buying a couple buckets
    for the local Coasties.

Making my way back to the Charleston Place hotel I noted a camerman sitting on the steps of a local retail shop. To my utter surprise they were filming a new episode of Flip That House, although after speaking with both Richard and Ginger I now understand it is to be called something different, and to be aired on a different network. They seemed just as personable in person, as they did on the show. I LOVED the old show, and can’t wait to see the new one. I was somewhat awestruck, Ginger of course is HOT!!! Can I say that here?

We love the show, and we LOVE Ginger! Can’t wait to see them, and their entire team again.

  20. Melissa says:

My husband and I really enjoyed the show and we were very disappointed when it was no longer on. The new shows are nothing in comparison. We are so glad you will be coming back. Cant wait.

  21. Joyce Lacy says:

My whole family watch Flip This House till they brought in their new Teams and they really stink. Richard we only watch the show when you guys are on. You have to let use know when you on and what channel we can find you.Are you all still together? The one we watched tonight didn’t have Ginger on it, where was she? A&E are really going to hurt themselves. I haven’t seen any show that the scabs have done that I would buy the house. Right now all I have read comes from you and Ginger, where is everyone else? Tell the new channel to get with it, we have waited long enough.A&E WAKE UP.

  22. Mike says:

I love this show. I love Richard and I hate the replacements. They are so mugging for the camera. They are so not real. I learn so much from Richard.

  23. Meg says:

Hey guys! Just wanted to throw in my support for you! My husband and I adored the first season of FTH (you hear this all the time I’m sure) and we were -shocked- when the second season started without you. We missed your southern charm, (we’re from georgia) and wonderful, down to earth personalities. You guys are the real thing and we accept no substitutions! 😉

Best of luck on the new show, we eagerly await it!

    ~Meg & Matt
    Atlanta, Ga

  24. Tony says:

Any new updates on when the new show will start on TLC?

    Tony in Cincinnati

  25. emmy says:

I’d rather watch re-runs of the FTH with Trademark Properties’ Richard, Ginger and the gang than watch a new episode with the other team. Richard seems to know how to get things done right without being obnoxious like the other team.

  26. Lorraine Hecht says:

I cannot begin to tell you how enjoyable your show was week after week. I was hooked on the cast and looked forward to the trials and tribulations all of you experienced.

When I saw the network announcing a new season of Flip This House I just assumed it was the old gang back in gear. However, I was in for a rude disappointment.

The replacement show is so bad that it should be put out of its misery.

Your show was magnificently produced and was a source of genuine entertainment. Needles to say, I await your return with anticipation.

It is refreshing to see someone taking on the network based on principles.

Good Luck with your legal battle Richard. The fans of the show are with you.

    Regards,
    Lorraine Hecht

  27. Deborah says:

I’ve been waiting…and waiting for your new show- but I enjoy you all so much that I happily watch the re-runs! I watched the Texas replacement once- well actually I didn’t watch the entire show- after 10 mins I switched to the cooking channel! The “new” group isn’t even a cheap imitation.

Can’t wait for your new show, best to all of you…
    Deborah

  28. Carolyn Short says:

I hope you will advertise your new show to let us know when it will be on. All the other Flip shows are poor copies of yours. The personality of the cast make the show.

  29. richard carnahan says:

I can’t wait for your new show to start. I missed seeing everyone and great city of Charleston.

    Dick

  30. rene vergara says:

I watch your reruns when they come on even though I have seen them. I enjoy them none the less and hope to see you guys back on t.v. again soon. Keep up the great work and my best goes out to all of you. Thank you for being you !!

    rene……….

  31. Joyce says:

I can’t wait for your new show to start! I have watched every episode from your first season at least 3 times each! I never watch the new shows now. I don’t like the new cast members at all. Good luck with your new show!

  32. elma says:

I love richard and ginger I am watching after I worked all day today – I love these guys can’t stand the M’s and the Atlanta people – Keep Richard and Ginger – thank you for bringing them back!!

  33. WolvenHeart says:

I am glad to see your show gathering the momentum now, I am in Canada but tune in every Saturday to see your show I’ve turned a few of my friends on to the show as well. It is like having old family back, and I am very impressed wit Trademarks efforts to make a difference in peoples lives whether friend family or even stranger. Money is important thing in life, but it is the giving back that is important. I thank you show for showing me that way.
    You are all an inspiration.

Leep up the good work and i will be watching you all on saturdays

  34. Chad says:

scripted cast replacements? *sigh* isnt it scripted enough as it is ??? 🙁 it would be better and more enjoyable to see LESS scripting and more realism 😀

  35. Josephine says:

I am a huge fan of the show ever since it began on the previous channel. I searched and found you all on TLC, had no idea about the lawsuit. The name changes to the current show were confusing but the content and professionalism remained, and that is what is important. I admire Richard’s directness and candor, sometimes I crack up listening to him.
What advice do you have to anyone desiring to start flipping, securing financing, finding the right property and not overpaying, hiring the reliable & competent people, selling at the right price, and reinvesting profits?
When I watch the old series, the new “flippers” seem like amatuers. Keep up the good work! Love the new show!

  36. Carrin says:

I love Richard and his team. I hope I am wrong in fearing that this may have gone to his head a little. I hope I am wrong. AND I do wish his language was a little less bleatable.

  37. Edward says:

I could write a 5 page letter but everyone knows the obvious. I love “Richard and the Gang” and my jaw dropped when I saw that there was a new cast (actually 2). It’s October 2007 so the new season is out and I’m elated to see new episodes. My friends and I watch every episode and can’t get enough. We’ve flipped 3 houses over the past year and we want to thank you for all the insight you’ve given us through your show. Kepp it up y’all!!
